Molars!

We have 2 year molars coming in for Miss Sadie!  I spotted them yesterday when she wanted me to brush her teeth.  I was shocked when I saw the top 2 had already broke through the skin.  The 2 bottom molars have not come in yet, but it does look a little red and swollen back there.

We're alive and doing well!!!

Once again, another month has passed and I haven't written anything.  Oh, I have thought about writing different blogs, but I just haven't taken the time to write any.  My bad!

We have been having a lot of fun!!

We celebrated Sadie's birthday, Zachary's birthday, Kodi's birthday, Jesus' Resurrection!, my brother's birthday, Les' mom's birthday!  We have had a LOT of birthdays!

Let's see, I went out of town for a weekend for a women's retreat, Les closed on his mom's house, hiked the public land up NorthEast of Bonham with the kids, we went on vacation with the kiddos to Fossil Rim ( drive through animal park ), Dinosaur Valley State Park, Cleburn State Park and even a garage sale thrown in there too.

We've been busy, but have had a lot of fun!!!

I'll post pictures later b/c I'm at my parents house waiting for AWANA tonight at church; then we'll be heading home.  :)  :)

Happy Birthday Sadie!!!!!!

Our Sadie girl turned 2 years old yesterday!  It has been a fun 2 years with her so far.  She is a loving sweet little girl.  She speaks a little bit, but understands pretty much 100% of what we say to her, what directions we give her, etc.  She is quiet like her daddy, but not shy.  She isn't really fond of anyone outside of her family or someone who isn't close to her.  She's so funny this way!  She has been potty training for well over 3 months now and doing AWESOME!!!!  :)  She pee pees and poo poos on the potty.  She wears panties when we're at home and I put her in a pull-up most of the time when we go out.  Sometimes she just refuses to wear pull-ups.  HA!  She is really doing great and I'm very proud of her.

I haven't downloaded her birthday pictures of what we did yesterday.  She started out her birthday by having a living room full of balloons, opening her presents from us and Zachary, and getting sung Happy Birthday to.  After that, we had to get dressed and leave.  I had decorated a shirt for her to wear and she just looked too cute!  She had a doc appt for possible rocefin shots; which she did get. After that, we went and let Zachary & Sadie pick out their birthday cupcakes from Market Street (they loved them!).  Sadie wanted to eat pizza; which really surprised me, so we went and ate at CiCi's pizza - she ate a TON!  LOL  After that, we went and played a few games at Chuck E Cheese before I took them home and put them to bed for their naps.  While she napped and Zachary played; I made her birthday cake and made dinner.  My parents came over for dinner and when Les is off next week; we're planning on having his mom over and celebrating with her and the kids' birthday.  We'll have fun celebrating with the grandparents and letting them each enjoy the kiddos!  :)

Sickness

I'll be so glad when we all feel better.  After the weather changed this last time a few weeks ago; we have been sick ever since.  All 4 of us got hit with it. 

Poor Sadie has been hit with it the worst.  In fact, she went into an anaphylactic shock the other day and we called 911 to rush her to the hospital.  Can we say......SCARY?!  Yes!!!!!!!  We have her scheduled to see an allergist here in less than 2 weeks.  I'll be glad to know what they say, but I don't look forward to the actual testing.  I don't know if they'll do skin testing or blood work.  I'm hoping for blood work!  :)  I have a lot of allergies, so I know that this is just another thing from me.....LOL  Poor girl will probably be a huge sneezer like me!  I had to take allergy shots as a little girl, so this is all been there done that, but now it's MY little girl.  She is seeing the allergist that I saw as a little girl, so I know she's in good hands and she comes highly recommended from our pediatrician; who was also my pediatrician when I was a baby and up.

Anyways, just want you to know that we're all doing well for the most part and just relaxing.  Today we're home trying to get better and hopefully going to get to go to church.  We'll see!

Work is going well and has been keeping me busy, but I love it!

I have weaned off of Wellbutrin; with the help of my doc.  Praise the Lord!

Overall, I am doing really well and have no complaints.  God is good!

Going Back to Work!

I am so excited to announce that tomorrow is my 1st day back at MMI (Medical Ministry International).  This was where I was working when I had Zachary and I hated to resign, but I wanted to stay home with Zachary and not work.  I always wanted to be a stay at home mom and I feel so blessed to be able to stay home with them.  I have been asked numerous questions and want to answer them here:

1. How many hours are you going to be working?
*About 16 hours (Tues 9 - 3, Wed 12:30 - 5:30, Thurs 9 - 3)

2. Why are you going back to work?
*I just want to get out of the house some b/c I will go weeks w/o having a break and now that they're older; I feel like it's okay to have a break away from them.  It will be good for both me and for them.  I am going to miss them, but they'll be in good hands!

3. Are you going to still homeschool?
*Absolutely!  In fact, I am planning on putting away some of the money that I'll be making to put towards curriculum, books, activities, etc.  Zachary will be starting kindergarten in Fall of 2014, so right now we're not doing any major curriculum studies.  He is learning to trace shapes and the alphabet right now.  We do coloring, reading, painting, etc.  So, he'll still be able to get plenty of time with me to continue to work on his motor skills, alphabet, counting, etc.  When he starts kindergarten; we'll see how it works out then, but I'm not worried about that right now.

4. What will you be doing?
*I am going to be the office assistant for everyone in the office.  I knew I didn't want to go back to what I was doing b/c that would be too much of a committment from me.  I am so excited to be going back and know that God has provided this for me and He will take care of it all.

Cod Recipe

I made up my own cod recipe tonight and I think it's going to be DELICIOUS!!!!!

I started by letting the piece of cod unthaw, although, this step is not necessary, but I like it thawed (personal preference).  :)  After that, I smeared mayo on the cod, just a thin/medium coating will do.  After that, I crushed up into almost a bread crumb consitentcy some French's Fried Onions.  I sprinkled them evenly over the cod and pressed the onions into the mayo (I like a lot of this on there, so I did probably 1/4 cup of these over the whole piece of cod).  Your amount will vary depending on much fish you're cooking.

Here is the final dinner product!  We have roasted veggies (yellow squash, zuchini, carrots, garlic, potatoes, a little bit of olive oil) and the cod!  YUMMY!!!!

 



Christmas

The kids had a great Christmas!!  We didn't focus on them getting many presents, but enjoying the things that they were getting. 
Santa brought them a outdoor playhouse; which its in the garage set up right now and will put it in the backyard when it's going to be nice for several days.  They have enjoyed playing with it in the garage and gives them something to do besides just play inside.  Santa also brought them a kitchen for them to play with.  They have enjoyed that alot so far also.  Then they each got a coloring book, stuff for the bathtub (fingerpaint for the tub and foam soap).  They each got 2 books for us to read and a few other small things.  They were very happy and we had a great time also! 

We definitely emphasized Jesus' birth; which is the main REASON for the SEASON!  :)

Today we cleaned the whole house; which included picking up toys, vacuuming, and putting clothes up that were clean.  Now there are clothes being washed and those will also be put up.  Zachary has been enjoying putting his clothes in his closet for me after I hang them up.  Sadie likes to try to put the clothes on the hanger, but hasn't figured that out yet.  :) 

Sadie has been busy with potty training and LOVES to go on the potty.

Tonight they will be spending the night with Mimi and Poppy.  Les and I will be going to dinner with some of our Sunday School Class.  Yes, we're crazy for going out.....it's going to be PACKED!!!  LOL
