The debate, for lack of better terms, is does God or does God NOT give us more than we can handle?
I say," Yes, He does!" No where in the Bible, or at least that I have found, does it say that God won't give us more than we can handle. If He doesn't give us more than we can handle; then how do we learn dependence upon God and allowing Him to help us through our difficult times? He wants to be there and help us through those good AND bad times.
What the Bible says in 1 Corinthians 10:13 is this," No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; He will not let you be TEMPTED beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, He will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it." I totally understand this verse and have lived it too. Do you think it's easy to stay sexually pure until marriage when you're in your middle 20's AND in a world where everything is about sex, whatever feels good just do it, etc. The world is there to make us stumble and fall into all of Satan's traps. Anyways, through the times of dating guys, God always gave me outs if something was going to go south..........you know what I mean! I chose to take the way out, no matter how difficult that was. There are so many other things, such as, the opportunity to say something nasty, lose a temper, act rudely, etc. We as people, need to stand up and fight against the Spiritual war that is going on around us. You might ask yourself," how in the world do I do that?" It's easy!!!!
- Be in prayer at all times - 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18," Be joyful always; pray continually, give thanks in all circumstance, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus."
- Meditate on His word at all times - Joshua 1:8," Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful."
I don't write this to get on to anyone or make someone feel bad for what they think they know, but to bring to light, the Words of the Bible.
God Bless You!
