Unjustice

I was recently, as in today, reminded how people don't really read or just don't look up what they hear.  They believe everything that is said; which is a BIG problem.

The debate, for lack of better terms, is does God or does God NOT give us more than we can handle?

I say," Yes, He does!"  No where in the Bible, or at least that I have found, does it say that God won't give us more than we can handle.  If He doesn't give us more than we can handle; then how do we learn dependence upon God and allowing Him to help us through our difficult times?  He wants to be there and help us through those good AND bad times.

What the Bible says in 1 Corinthians 10:13 is this," No temptation has seized you except what is common to man.  And God is faithful; He will not let you be TEMPTED beyond what you can bear.  But when you are tempted, He will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it."  I totally understand this verse and have lived it too.  Do you think it's easy to stay sexually pure until marriage when you're in your middle 20's AND in a world where everything is about sex, whatever feels good just do it, etc.  The world is there to make us stumble and fall into all of Satan's traps.  Anyways, through the times of dating guys, God always gave me outs if something was going to go south..........you know what I mean!  I chose to take the way out, no matter how difficult that was.  There are so many other things, such as, the opportunity to say something nasty, lose a temper, act rudely, etc.  We as people, need to stand up and fight against the Spiritual war that is going on around us.  You might ask yourself," how in the world do I do that?"  It's easy!!!!
  1. Be in prayer at all times - 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18," Be joyful always; pray continually, give thanks in all circumstance, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus."
  2. Meditate on His word at all times - Joshua 1:8," Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it.  Then you will be prosperous and successful."
In other words, be in direct communication with the Lord, our SAVIOR, night and day.  He's only a prayer a way!  That's the great thing of being a Christian, having direct and open communication with God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit.  The Holy Spirit is active and alive in our lives!!!!!!!!  How cool is that?!  The Spirit form of God, lives in me, you and all who believe.  AMEN!

I don't write this to get on to anyone or make someone feel bad for what they think they know, but to bring to light, the Words of the Bible.

God Bless You!

Pumpkin Carving!!

Today the kids and I carved their pumpkins. Pretty funny bc Sadie was somewhat scared of the inside of the pumpkin....hahaha. I did throw some in her direction and she was not happy about that, but Zachary and I got a good laugh. I finally got her to throw some at me and got her smiley and happy again. She wanted her pumpkin to have a smiley side and a scary side, so I tried. 😃

Zachary did most of his pumpkin with carving the top off, trying to get the seeds out and I helped him carve. That was harder for him. He didn't want to do it at the beginning, but he came around and had a great time.

Here are some of our pictures from today!  This was all done after we finished our school work this morning, followed by a bath to wash pumpkin off!

I love Fall!!!!

Zachary's pumpkin is on the left side and Sadie's is on the right (closest to flower holder).

Zachary's Baptism

Our son, Zachary asked Jesus into his heart back in January or so. We've talked to him about baptism, but he said he wanted to wait till he was older. So, we dropped it and figured he would let us know when he was ready.

Well, this past weekend he was at RA camp with our church and Les too. Saturday night was family night, so Sadie and I went out for the late afternoon/evening. They were baptizing 2 boys at the lake and when we were driving to the lake for it, Zachary said,"I want to be baptized too, I'm ready."  We pulled our pastor aside and Zachary told him. They talked for a few minutes about the meaning.

So, Zachary proudly went before the RA boys and was baptized with the other 2 boys. It was so cute bc Zachary walked in the middle of Drake and Xander holding their hands. When Zachary was walking out, another boy named Zachary grabbed our Zachary and hugged him. It was so sweet!

Needless to say, I was so proud of our son, Zachary. We love you and couldn't be an happier for you. I look forward to continue watching you grow and develop in The Lord.

Mom's Surgery

As we are one week out before my mom has her total knee replacement on her right leg, I can't help but think about the "what if's?"  Of course, I know who (satan) is feeding me doubts, bad possible outcomes, etc.  IF, God did decide to take her; then I know without a shadow of doubt that I will see my mom again.  However, I have so many good memories with her and I have those to think about.

I think part of why this is on my mind is because we recently lost a family member a few months after surgery.  Of course, she was sick and not doing well before her heart surgery.  My mom is doing GREAT, feels great (minus leg pain), and overall, healthy.  :)

Lord, I thank you for being there with me and comforting me in those times of doubt, being upset, etc.  Hold my mom during the surgery and guide the surgeon's hands as he performs the surgery.  We trust in You and know that You hold our lives in Your hands.  I love you.  In the Name of Jesus, Amen.

8 yrs ago......today

I can still remember it so well.  This was the 1st day that Les and I told each other that we loved each other.  Sure, it was written in cards - Love, Kimberly or Love, Les, but we had never actually spoken the words to each other.

Les was acting funny and I was getting ready to leave his house to go home that night.  I was in the kitchen putting my shoes on and he comes in there and says," would you take care of Bear?"  I said," of course, I'll take care of Bear."  (Not realizing exactly what he was talking about!  LOL)  I went into the living room and Les came in there and said something about getting married.  I was shocked, excited, surprised, etc - so many emotions!  I couldn't wait to get home to tell my mom!!!!!!!!  LOL

I love you, Les........can't believe we've known each other now for almost 10 years (May '05 is when we met).  That was definitely one of the best Valentine Eve's that I've ever had.  :)

On Valentine's 2007 (the next day), He came to my parents' house and brought a "delivery" of a big balloon and flowers.  I didn't know if he was going to propose officially or what was going on.  He didn't!  LOL  Needless to say, I walked on Cloud 9 the rest of that day!!  It wasn't for 2 more months till he actually asked me to marry him (and there was a ring!).

Happy Valentine's Day, love!!!!!!!!!  <3 <3 <3

Tomorrow we're going to smoking a brisket and work around the house!!!!
